 How to Install Cydia on Your iOS 6 Device

To help you out, we are going to provide you with the guide to add Cydia to your iOS 6 running device. Simply follow the steps below in the prescribed order and you would have Cydia installed on your device.

Step 1: If you have not already, jailbreak your iOS 6 device. Then boot tethered your iOS 6 device.

Step 2: Get on a local Wi-Fi network and SSH into your device. Mac users can employ any one of the various SSH tools available. Windows users could use something like Putty. Your SSH username will be “root” and password will be “alpine.”

Step 3: Through SSH, run the following command:

wget -q -O /tmp/cyinstall.sh wyndrepo.googlecode.com/files/cyinstall.sh && chmod 755 /tmp/cyinstall.sh && /tmp/cyinstall.sh

Step 4: After the command, your device will respring and Cydia will be appearing on your Home screen.

Step 5: Open up Cydia. The program will begin the Preparing Filesystem process.

Step 6: Enjoy Cydia installed on your iOS 6 device.
