There are many desktop applications that let you edit images. Normally you have to download images and make edits such as cropping and resizing to the images using the desktop app. When you finish your edits, you upload the image to share with your friends. Alternatively you can upload the image to an online image editor and then make edits using an online interface.
But all that work is greatly simplified if you use a browser add-on called PictuTools.
PictuTools is a free to use browser add-on for Mozilla Firefox. The add-on helps you manipulate images and perform edits on them very easily. All you have to do to get started is install the add-on on your Firefox. Then whenever you see an image on a web-page, you simply right click on the image. You will now see the add-on’s menu options in the right click menu.
When you access the PictuTools menu, you will find various options on how to manipulate the image. The first option is to download the image in any one of the many supported image formats. These formats BMP, EPS, GIF, HDR, ICO, JPG, PDF, PNG, SVG, TGA, TIFF, WBMP, and WebP. You select the image format and it is downloaded in that particular format.
In the Edit menu, you can send the image you right click on to various effects and editing websites. The list of websites can be found in the Edit menu.
Information about picture such as metadata and EXIF data can also be gotten through web services which you can find in the Information field.
In case you want to find similar images, just go to the Similar menu and select the web service you want to use.
As you can see, PictuTools is a powerful Firefox add-on that lets you work with images in a very simple way. You can get PictuTools from here.
