With each new release of a smartphone’s OS, people get an impressive set of new features which makes tasks easier; sometimes previously absent tasks and features and introduced and the entire OS is revamped. The iOS is no different – with each new release, users get a new set of useful features which are thoroughly enjoyed. The latest release of iOS is going to be iOS 6 for which beta versions are already being released by Apple.
iOS developers probably already know that Apple has released iOS 6 Beta 3 for developers. Developers who are discouraged from checking out the OS, thinking that it does not have a jailbreak yet, will be happy to learn that a tethered jailbreak for the OS is already here. Haven’t yet jailbroken your iOS 6 device? Head over to our iOS 6 Jailbreak Guide.
For those who do not know the difference between tethered and untethered: a tethered jailbreak is when you need your phone hooked up with your computer to reboot it whereas no computer connection is required with an untethered jailbreak.
Needless to say, people prefer an untethered jailbreak over a tethered one. But this tethered jailbreak for iOS 6 Beta 3 will be worth checking out, especially if you are a developer. You could see how it works and perhaps get inspirations for your own jailbreaking tools.
The jailbreak is, however, quite limited. For example, Cydia will not be installed at the time of the jailbreak. Still, this is good news for everybody because the jailbreakers seem to be quite close to the release of OS. In other words, when the final version of iOS 6 is released, a jailbreak for it will not be very far away.
