YouTube Just the Video – Stream YouTube Videos on Firefox Without Distractions

When you log onto YouTube to stream videos, you do not want there to be any distractions. You want to focus on what is going on in the video only. Unfortunately on a video’s YouTube page there are a bunch of other things going on that divide your attention and distract you from the YouTube video. For example, as soon you open a video’s YouTube page, before the video’s player you see the related videos load up in the right pane. Next you see the ads appear. Then you see the comments load up and finally the Flash player loads up and your video begins streaming. Even then, the presence of other webpage elements is enough to dilute your YouTube streaming experience.

Here to make it better is a browser tool called YouTube Just the Video.

YouTube Just the Video is a browser tool that helps you stream YouTube videos in a distraction free environment. By using this tool you are able to focus only what you want to focus on – the video being streamed.

The tool is basically a browser add-on for Mozilla Firefox. After you have installed the add-on, you will find a new red icon placed in the top right of the browser toolbars. When you are on a video’s YouTube page, simply click on this icon. What it does is black out all YouTube webpage elements apart from the video player itself. It draws focus on the player by centering it which helps you focus on it.

You can disable this focused view of the player any time by clicking on the add-on again.

YouTube users who use Firefox should definitely check out this browser add-on.
